What keys...

Our June work week trip was 10 hours of sweeping, dusting, cleaning, cutting, hauling, watering and shooting  (a rat).  Since our last trip out it looked like a rat had taken up residence in the trailer we spent a good bit of time cleaning and vacuuming, but it was not until mom pulled out the drawer that we found the tenant. There is a leak under the sink in the house kitchen which will need to be fixed. Cleaned out the bushes blown down in front and cut up all the fallen branches in the back and stacked some wood.  Got on the roof to see what shape it was in, not terrible but needs some work.  Looks like someone was shooting spiders on the patio ceiling as there was a hole through the roof.  Mom found the rat nest and i got the shot of her moving it out.  Bud and Sariah helped with everything and pushed the lawn mowers as well.  Pond was a bit murky and did not see to many goldfish.  Sky was blue and weather was warm.  This trip was all work and no play will be back out again in July.

Mothers Day

Took mother out for Mothers day. We mostly spent the day looking around and walking.  It has probably been 10 years since mom has been out, she said it has not changed much.  New tulips were up and colorful, and there were big butterflies as well.  The wind had blown over a big tree in the bottom and some of the smaller trees out front of the house. Roof looks like it will need some care wind had taken off a few shingles.  We went up to the cemetery cleaned, weeded and left some flowers.  Mom got her exercise in, she did want a shot of the swing set and dandelions....almost forgot the fresh watercress to take home for lunch.

Remember there is a meeting this coming Saturday at Terry and Jane's home...  It will start at 10:00 am.  There is a lot to talk about!  See you all there!

Also, here are some more pictures taken by Grant after all the work was done.
(all that white stuff is leftover hail from the downpour!)
Thanks again to all who contributed for all the hard work!

Many Hands Make Light Work!

Here are some fun snapshots sent by Terry and Jane from Memorial Day Weekend. What Park Valley weekend wouldn't be complete without a spring hailstorm!? Great Fun!  Also, big thanks to Terry's Family and Rulon's Family for all the hard work in cleaning the trailer, clearing the pond, mowing the lawn, pruning and moving wood, not to mention all kinds of other odds and ends.  As you can see everyone big and small contributed!  Thanks also to Grant Jr., who made it down just in time to lock everything up...  :)  :)  :)
